Aveda Essential Oils

“Aromatherapy” is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being.     In Aromatherapy Massage, these oils are added to the body butter used to enhance the overall massage experience.  We call these natural oils, “Essential Oils.”

It is also widely believed that the inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils stimulates brain function. Essential oils are absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing. One example of this is Lavender, which is well known for promoting a sense of relaxation.

Some ideas for using relaxing Lavender oil in your home:

-Add to bath water for soft, smooth, aromatic soaking.

-Dab some on a tissue and place between pillow and pillow case for calm and restful sleep throughout the night.

-Wipe lightly over light bulbs so when the lights are on, the aroma emanates through the room.

My Experience with AVEDA

In April, 2011, Salon Emage Day Spa began carrying Aveda’s exclusive line of products.  Because Aveda is very particular about who represents their company, we feel honored at Salon Emage Day Spa to have been selected as the only salon in all of Fauquier County to do just that.
In my hometown of  San Diego, I frequented an  Aveda salon and just loved how my hair felt on the day of my visits.  But
because I did not purchase the products for use at home, I did not know if my  hair would continue to feel the same after long term use.  I am thrilled to say  that, since I have been using Aveda’s Smooth Infusion Shampoo and  Conditioner, regularly,  at home, for weeks now; I am so very  happy  with how my hair feels, and looks.  By the end of a day, my it still feels clean and fresh and looks vibrant as if I just washed it moments before.  Smooth Infusion by, Aveda, is truly the best product I  have ever used on my “fine” hair with natural curl.  I am very impressed with  how soft and manageable it remains all day and into the evening.  I highly recommend Aveda’s Smooth Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner to anyone with the same hair concerns as mine.
On a separate note; I am also excited, as the Massage Therapist at Salon Emage, to announce that I have just received many new
Essential Oils made by Aveda.  Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Peppermint, and of course,  Lavender, are just a few yummy scents I will now be offering.  Essential Oils play a delicious part in a soothing massage.  Book an Aromatherapy Massage today and experience these delightful aromas for yourself.  I am confident that you will enjoy the calming and rejuvenating benefits an Aromatherapy Massage can offer a body, mind and spirit overwhelmed by the stresses of daily life.  I look forward to seeing you soon!
Be Blessed,
