Salon Emage Day Spa would like to introduce you to our newest stylist, Nicole Champ.  Nicole graduated one of the top ten students in her class from Paul Mitchell The School in the spring of 2012.  Being a Warrenton native, it was an easy decision for her become a stylist at Salon Emage Day Spa.

Nicole’s favorite hair lengths to work with are mid length to longer hair and considers her specialties to be Keratin, hair straightening, extensions and color.   She has absolutely fallen in love with the new fall Aveda Neo Goth color line and believes going dark all over, or lowlights are the must do trends for fall.

Nicole appreciates the diversity of being a stylist.  Each client wants a different look which allows each day to be a different adventure!

Nicole loves getting eyelashes and massages.  In her spare time she loves spending time at the beach with her fiancée.  Her favorite products are Moroccan Oil and Shina Mist and if she could, she would bring back the black underneath platinum blonde on top hairstyle.

If you are looking for a fun new color for fall or all over new look, Nicole is your gal!  Call the salon today at 540-341-4052 to make your appointment with Nicole today.

You know Salon Emage but do you know Melanee Montalvo, owner of Salon Emage Day Spa. Melanee has been

Salon Emage Day Spa Owner, Melanee Montalvo

working her magic on hair for over 25 years and has owned Salon Emage Day Spa since 2000.

Melanee has not only worked with celebrity hairstylist Alexandre de Paris but she also has quite the background of celebrity clients including the actress Salma Hayek, Cal Thomas syndicated columnist and author, Courtney Robinson Reporter WJLA/News Channel 8, and beloved Fauquier author Susan McCorkindale. Melanee’s achievements do not stop at celebrity clients as she has also done quite a bit of work for television and fashion shows; one of her latest achievements includes styling hair for the Union of Angels commercial. She has also styled hair for an editorial photo shoot for Glamour magazine, Susan McCorkindale’s book promotional video, and numerous runway including: Trouvials Vintage Fashion Show at Twilight Polo, Twilight Polo’s Opening Night “Must Haves” Fashion Shows, and the American Cancer Society’s Silhouettes of Spring Fashion Shows.

When Melanne is not hard at work making sure everyone has fabulous hair, she and her salon are busy giving back to the community. Two organizations they make sure to give to each year are the Fauquier SPCA and the American Cancer Society. There is a lot that can be said about the way the salon gives back. Melanee does not just write a check to a charitable group, she has the salon create events which get the whole community involved. Melanee decided to start a Pooch Shampoo at Salon Emage Day Spa which is held each August. Community members bring their dogs to be washed by salon stylists; the money raised benefits the Fauquier SPCA. In October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, the salon has Pink Power Parties to give client’s pink extensions with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The salon also hosts Bras for a Cause asking community members to create bras which are then voted on by the public. This year alone over $2000 was raised in the month of October by Salon Emage Day Spa through Pink Hair for Hope, Shop for a Cure and Bras for a Cause. Through the year, Melanee shows her care and

concern for the community she grew up in by supporting a variety of causes.

Melanne’s achievements stop here, but this blog does! Call the salon to make an appointment with Melanee and let her make your hair look like a celebrity’s. Salon Emage Day Spa is located at 51 East Lee Street, Warrenton, Virginia by phone at 540.341.4052 and on the web at www.salonemage.com.

Fall naturally brings change.  The leaves change from bright greens to hues of red and oranges, the days get shorter and cooler and the air begins to smell like fall. Salon Emage wants to help you take that step into fall with a little something for yourself, a new look. You may have been coming to the salon for years, maybe you are new to the salon or maybe you have used the salon for services other than hair.  Anyway you come to us, and we want to take a few weeks to let you get to know our team members a little better and get some style tips, too. We’ve introduced you to Sam, Ashley and Cyndi. Now meet Master Stylist Frank Pinello…

Do you ever wonder what hairstyle would work best for your hair? If so, Frank Pinello, one of our talented hairstylists may be the stylist for you. Artistic Director Ashley Gray

Flipping through magazines can always be a great place to look for a trendy hair cut and color. As for taking that leap of faith from a magazine model to your own head of hair, well that can be challenging. However, it is easier when you are working with a hair stylist who’s pictures are in the magazines. Recently promoted to Salon Emage Day Spa’s Artistic Director position, Ashley Gray not only graduated at the top of her class from the Graham Webb Academy, she has done hair for the stars (actrees Rachel Leigh CookMiss USA International Casandra Tressler, and author Susan McCorkindale), is a regional educator for UNITE and has her work splashed across magazines including Nashville Lifestyle Magazine and Council Magazine.

Ashley is the type of person who has always found herself submerged in fashion. That coupled with a niche for creativity and passion for working with people lead Ashley to the perfect career path, hairstyling. What she enjoys most about working with hair is that big reveal moment when clients are able to see their new look for the first time, and they light up with excitement and feel beautiful.

While short hair is Ashley’s favorite type of hair to work with, she enjoys coloring and cutting hair the most. She believes in giving clients a textured and trendy look that is the perfect mix of fun and cutting edge but not too over the top. To keep your hairstyle looking its best her favorite products are, Unite

Hair by Ashley Gray featured in Nashville Lifestyle Magazine

Expanda Root Litter and Unite Tricky Spray Wax.

Ashley’s fashion trend for Fall: ombre hair color and feather extensions. Be sure to call Salon Emage Day Spa at 540.341.4052 to make your appointment with Artistic Director Ashley Gray today. Fall naturally brings change.  The leaves change from bright greens to hues of red and oranges, the days get shorter and cooler and the air begins to smell like Fall. This Fall, Salon Emage wants to help you take that step into Fall with a little something for yourself, a new look. You may have been coming to the salon for years, maybe you are new to the salon or maybe you have used the salon for services other than hair.  Anyway you come to us, we want to take a few weeks to let you get to know our team members a little better and get some style tips, too. First, we are introducing you to Sam…

Do you have long, natural wavy hair? Do you think you have feet that are better kept in shoes? If so, you need to meet Sam Perry, our nail technician

Stylist & Nail Tech, Sam Perry

and stylist. Sam is a native to Fauquier who found her love for cosmetology in high school. She is right at home using her creativity to make others feel better about themselves and add that sparkle of fresh beauty to either their hair, hands or feet!

She is a bubbly person who enjoys meeting new people and making new relationships with clients. Best of all long, natural wavy hair is her favorite hair to work her magic on. She has many, many tricks up her sleeve for working with your natural hair and a lot of great options to try. Sam’s must have product for your hair, 7 Seconds by Unite. Not only does this product work magic on all hair types but it conditions and detangles all while protecting the hair from sun damage.

Best of all she promises that she has seen hands, feet or hair worse than yours so give her a chance to give you a complete new look. If yours are the worse, she promises to keep it her little secret. However, a tip she has for your feet to keep them looking their best is to use a foot file several times a week followed by a nice thick lotion. This tip will help prevent and alleviate callused feet.

Sam’s fashion forward for Fall, natural. Consider using natural colors on your hair with natural textures to keep you in style this Fall. Be sure to call Salon Emage Day Spa at 540.341.4052 to make your appointment with Sam today.
